Story in short :

“When Dimple Met Rishi” is a story of Dimple and Rishi.

Meet Dimple – Her aim in life is to escape her traditional parents, get to university and begin her plan for tech-world domination.

Meet Rishi – He’s rich, good-looking and a hopeless romantic. His parents think Dimple is the perfect match for him, but she’s got other plans…

Dimple and Rishi may think they have each other figured out. But sometimes when opposites clash, love works even harder to prove itself in the most unexpected ways.

Review:

I am usually not up for cliche romances, but found myself reading this book. This book gives you hope for something intelligent, something out of the ordinary. But to no avail.

The author seems to be derailing on the plot front, which I thought would be more focused on the work Dimple and Rishi do together to develop the app than merely focus on the Bollywood masala dance.

This a predictable story. It is promising you for some rich romantic experience but only to get disappointed with the the fact that you already have figured it out in less than 100 pages.

If this is your first YA romance book or you are in your teens, you might enjoy this light book. However after having access to the vast expanse of the rich literature out there, I feel this book just doesn’t do the justice.

Well if I think of ending it on a good note, then maybe I would say that if you jump into the book without any expectations then you might even get through the book by liking it a bit.

Enjoy!

My honest rating : 2/5
